i was there with a group of foreign friends and when the ladies wanted to use the wc, we got to know there was none at the premises! the manager was a total mutt who didn't care about people's needs. so we had to go to the toilet at odel instead. the food is not good at all compared to perera and sons who serve cheaper and better quality bread.

I don't know if it's just me, but I think Bread Talk is totally overrated. The food here simply is not good. It's not bad either, it's just ok. Add to that the portion sizes are quite small. (We Sri Lankans are used to getting big portions of everything, something most restaurant seem to forget) And for just ok food in small portions, the prices here are ridiculous. I don't mind paying a high price for good food, but it's just silly to pay these prices for food of the quality they offer. Someone said that they'd rather eat the "maalu paan" from the food truck outside on the pavement, and honestly, I'd have to agree. Not because it would be of better quality than Bread Talk or tastes better, but simply because there I'll get a lot more value for what I pay. At the end of the day, that's what really matters for any place. Value for money. Right now, Bread Talk is not offering it. They should either lower the prices, or increase the quality and/or quantity of food. That's just my two cents.

Food is crap :( I think its done by a person who doesn't got taste-bud. Especially at their WTC outlet. But their buns are very soft and this is probably b'coz of the international franchise.

The patisserie is very nice but the service can improve. Visiting the outlet on Havelock Town, you are greeted by the staff and when you are at the cash point, you hear very loud noise of staff laughing. They even some laugh at people.

Nice open atmosphere brought about by the glass facade, found the TV way too loud to enjoy a conversation, but the variety of food was spectacular! Planning to go back again and again!

Best Bakery in Sri Lanka in terms of variety and quality. The bread has a stab of sweetness to it that tickles your taste buds. All this does come at a price- everything is quite expensive, but worth it. I'd also highly recommendthe ice coffee. It is superb.
