Quality of food is good whereas the service is really poor. You should at least wait 15 minutes to get a single item :( They have some good food items for the vegetarian lovers.
The Fab..There is no subsidiary absolutely right because you will not find another like fab because the management is really really poor and the way they treat their staff is pathetic. If you work in to any branch of fab you will not see the people you saw at your first visit instead new more faces just hanging behind the counter without knowing what to do or how to serve the customer.They keep recruiting staff for 365 days a year but they don't have the strategy to keep people.
Because of that there is no service at all...The founder has made a stupid decision to make the present director and the GM there. And some top level management staff with no education.The only qualification just being at fab for years.
They are proud to talk about their product but if you happened to walk into their production department you will never ever walk into a fab.They got cakes with rat foot marks on them.
You have got better options in colombo..try sponge which is thousand times better than Fab.
DANGER TO HEALTH Myself and a number of guests had the Fab lamprai and three of us ended up in the emergency ward! We were down with food poisoning for three days- causing serious risk to health and problems with our work place and jobs due to sick leave.
When the management was contacted about this- along with proof of medical bills and files they got back to us days later saying they can't do anything about it.
This is a huge warning to anyone planning on ordering from this place. We got lucky that the elderly guests and children had not eaten the packs.
Today Friday, 27 June at 1156 am, I purchased one packet of Chicken Lumpri Rs 360/- and one packet of Chicken Rice & Curry. (Rs 370/-) Invoice No 391112413 user 1887 from MC outlet. When food packets were opened for consumption, at 1.30pm, we found that rice and curry packet giving out a spoilt smell (Pilun). Closer inspection showed that smell came form the piece of Chicken covered in mustard curry, in the R&C packet and we had to throw the whole thing out, wasting our money as well as spoiling our mood for lunch. It is useless to waste more petrol + 1.5 hrs tough driving during the rush hour to show them the spoilt food, from Piliyandala. It is useless complaining as there is no e mail address for complaint as a popular fabulous eating house. Phone complaints are useless, as we dont have any record of the conversation. Very Rude. They do not care for the customers at all. "Go to hell" attitude. Even food is not at all good. I wonder who is managing "Fab" now. I am sure not the earlier Madanayake Family.. good for a funeral parlour. Staff wont care for the customer. Management please look into this...
I called the fab given hot line the person who answered the phone received my inquiry and said she will get back to me. I am still to hear from her. This speaks volumes for service.
May be the staff are under paid & over worked like most establishments in Sri Lanka
Long ago, Fab's short-eats, pastries & cakes are very tasty & high standard. But, now the taste has gone & it's food are in average quality. Not awesome at all. Rolls, cutlets & buns are not good as their insides are pathetic, even not enough spices & salts are not added. Only above the average ones are Sandwiches & Lump rice. Service is extremely slow & poor. But they have only one thing, that's showiness!!
Customer service is Zero at Fab Kolpity. They never answer phones when want to get Information. Pls never ever expect a good food as their customer service.
