Description
The title translates to Banyan Village. The tagline is "Back to our Roots". It was launched on December 12, 2009. Designed to offer competition to the recently modernised Curry Leaf Garden Restaurant at the Colombo Hilton. Situated in the rear garden of the hotel, with its own wooden gate entrance, with authentic Sri Lankan food (seemingly) cooked by village damsels and prepared according to traditional methods, it is extremely popular with tourists. It is open for all three meals on weekends, and only for dinner on weekdays.
There is a wide variety of Sri Lankan food, authentically prepared by local experts dressed in village garb, in a village setting with the city nowhere in sight. The food tastes home-cooked, and is fresh and tasty, though a little bland for the Sri Lankan palate. This is probably to cater to foreign visitors.

Hey, why don't you write a review ?
It is a village styled Sri Lankan restaurant located at Cinnamon Grand Colombo. Hence the theme of the restaurant, one would get a sense of a village restaurant with wooden furniture and surrounding made out of clay. There is a tall tree, which brings shelter to the restaurant. The crow close to the restaurant. The food is very delicious and the service is pretty impressive.
Nothing to complain, amazingly wonderful food and the atmosphere is set to a village style and very much recommended for a meal at a considerable cost. Its expensive no doubt but money well spent for the quality, location and the taste of the food.
